Steve Clayton over at the Windows Mobile for Partners TechNet blog has just received his and he had no problems connecting it to his home WiFi network. Sweeet! :D If anyone has taken delivery of their new Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone, be sure to post your thoughts about the device. I have pre-ordered a SP5m and Expansys keeps playing with the number of days until it ships. It started out at 7, then it dropped to 2-3, then up to 9, and now it is holding at 1-2. :roll: If I'm lucky, it might be in my hands by the end of the week. However, I'm not holding my breath - too much. ;)

I too had one preordered. this is what I got today when I asked why the days til available went from 1 to 9:

The SP5 Smartphone is currently on backorder. Per our supplier a shipment is expected to arrive in our UK Warehouse on October 20, 2005 but we will not receive these in our US Warehouse until the week of October 24, 2005.

Guess I'll have to keep waiting. One guy has the music edition on ebay, but if anyone sees the 8310/Sp5 in stock somewhere, please post it!

I have a love-hate relationship with eXpansys. They have good phones. But there ordering system sucks. :-)

I want one of these but they arent listed on the US site yet. Should I just order from the UK site?

You'll get nailed for duty and what not when it hits customs. You would be better to hold off until it shows on the US site. IMHO.

Yeah good point. The Qtek 8310 is on the US site (preorder) though. I just have this new phone itch. Something must be going around. :lol:

May I recommend this. (http://tinyurl.com/7zef8) I haven't tried it, but I am told that when used as described on the box, it can reduce the worst itch to a controllable level.
