While at the MVP summit this week we got into a discussion on how many applications everyone had installed on their primary mobile device and we thought it might be interesting to see what the community does as well. I currently have 18 applications installed, but there are a couple I'm thinking about adding in the next couple days. It's really easy to count the applications installed on your Smartphone, just go to the Remove Programs page (Start / Settings / More / Remove Programs) and each full page equals 8 applications. Just sum the pages, and don't forget to add in any of the applications were you just copied the .exe over to your device.

I've currently got 19. Have had more in the past, but got rid of them as they were either not used or too poorly designed or implemented. No plans currently for any new ones, though that would probably change were I to change phones.

I'm in the 21+ camp. I've been thinking about a hard reset cleanup though. Way too much stuff I never use on my phone.

So far 21 and just now I have only the necessary progs with me! I'm using Series 60 smartphone, not Windows Mobile one, but I think that the need of 3rd party apps is the same in both platforms.

In fact I just noticed that "Contacts" is the only pre-installed application I use daily. I use 3rd party calendar Papyrus, 3rd party email client ProfiMail and 3rd party web browser Opera and I just could not live without them... add to that RSS reader, file explorer, calculator, backup program, task viewer, teletext viewer and a couple of games...

I just could not manage with just the bare smartphone!

About 6 to 10. I used more before, but I cleaned it up and decided what I really used.

I am in the 6-10 range. Right now it is 8. I try out apps and then un-install them if it doesn't work out.

I currently have 10 but I may ditch Rogers MyMail as I don't use it nearly as much as I had planned. I have one account setup on all my devices, that all my email eventually trickles down to.
