I have a SMT 5600 from ATT. I have not been able to access the mMode site or WAP stuff in general. If I go to http://Home I get page connot be found. I can access the internet through PIE and POP 3 mail but no WAP (guess I should not complain, huh?).

When I go into the GPRS configuration screen, my choices for WAP, Secure WAP and Work are all set to Automatic. There are no other options for these connections. I can not change from Automatic. Cingular support says this is why I can't connect to WAP - guess it makes sense.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? Cingular support says it's an Audiovox issue. I could do a hard reset if it will work, but would rather try something short of that if possibe.

Thanks for any thoughts anyone might have.

Whenever I have problems, I ask for the technical experts at Cingular - not customer care, but the "technical experts." (You may have to get a user name and password from customer care.)

Here are settings which work on my phone: start , messaging, mmode, menu, options, account set-up, mmode,

add user name
add your mmode email address
unclick automatic set up
next
user name
add your pass word
leave domain open
click save password, next
server type: pop3
account name: mmode
network: the internet, next
incoming server:pop.mymmode.com
unclick require ssl
outgoingserver:smtp.mymmode.com
unclick outgoing servers requires authentication
the other settings are your choice
