What is it with these developers that don't want to offer a trial version? That shows little or no confidence to me.

Seen this on a few different sp sites now and I'll say it since no one else has....

Why the heck would I pay ANY money for an app with sooooo little functionality that should be given out for free?!

LESS CRAP APPS!!!! MORE QUALITY IN QUANTITY!!!!!

And everyone is posting it up like it's a great find! Sheeesh! No offense to the editors....but PLEASE offer a LITTLE commentary how this app isn't worth ANYTHING and for your valued readers to save their money.

Jusging by the lack of functionality, it seems like this is their first venture into .NET programming. It doesnt even have an installer as it says to copy the exe to your phone.

Oh, you're right. I didn't notice that before. That is a little concerning. :?

excuse my frustration....but everytime I see one of these apps...it KILLS ME! Especially when they have the NERVE to charge $8.00 for it.

God bless the developer. I wish him luck as he learns. But there was more thought put into the list of features (which is apparently 3 broken out to seem more like 20) than in the actual programming itself.

Though I will say it does look nice...which is more than I can say about other apps in my frustration arena.

But let's call BullXXXX when we see it. :)

Well, I wouldn't say the app is worthless. I would say it isn't for everyone. When I'm looking at the new software released on Smartphone.net, I try and look at the applications from the point of view of an average everyday user. This app doesn't offer anything new to me, but for someone who is just getting into their Smartphone, this could be a handy little app.

On the same note.... When I find a new app, I look for a number of things before I will post on it. One of the things I don't pay too much attention to is the price. I learned this with the Opera release. While I found it pricey for what it offered, many many people disagreed with that. As such, I try not to let price effect my criteria for posting. $8 maybe a lot to some, while others won't think twice about it. :)

Price isnt the issue. It's the price for what you get.

The ability to turn off the phone and look at the memory/battery status?!

Not worth 1$ IMO. :)

PS.
Getting back on track with things. Have some freelance to get out of the way then I'm on it! :)
