I was just wondering where u guys who have smartphones use them. I go to high school and am the only one with a smartphone so it makes me feel really ahead of them all.

Well, nobody had a cellphone when I was in highschool. ;)
I use mine as my primary phone number for clients and family to reach me while I'm "at work". I'm not usually in the same office for very long. Amoung my friends and family, I'm one of a handful with a Smartphone. It's a great feeling, isn't it?

I use my smartphone anywhere and everywhere :D Except of course hospitals and airplanes. Where I work everyone has at least a basic cell phone, and blackberries are everywhere. Due to it's size it is less obvious than a big blue blackberry. Most people mistake my smt5600 for a run of the mill candybar phone. They don't realize how much power this baby packs under the hood. If I take the time to show them the capabilities of this phone they are impressed.

Same here. It's amazing how close in size it is to my old SE T637. For personal use, my mobile phone is my only phone. I have given up my landline many years ago.

I use it everywhere. The other day I was at the airport picking up my wife. Her flight was a little late, so I listened to some tunes on my SMT5600. In the middle of a song, the volume dropped to half. Then came a chime - it was a new mail notification. Three seconds later, the music volume resumed to the normal level. I flipped to the email program to read and reply to the email. Ten minutes later, the music paused again. This time it paused completely rather than just lowering the volume. It was my wife calling me. I talked to her for a minute. As soon as the call was ended, the music resumed automatically.
I listened to music, checked (corporate) email, and talked on the phone during my wait. The whole time, I did not have to take my earphones off or bring out another device. Some may say "so what?" To me this is extremely powerful. It makes me want to carry my phone everywhere I go. I will never leave home without it.

Everywhere for everything. I even have my home phone (which I almost never use) forward all calls to my Smartphone.
I check email, rss news, text message, mms message all day....oh yeah....and talk on the phone.
I am never without it.

I think one of my favourite uses is putting my son to sleep. I'm always playing a game of something or other while I rock him. I don't know what I'll do when he gets bigger and I don't have the gaming time anymore.

Yes you do, when he grows bigger, you will be gaming WITH him. You will have an upper hand in the first year or so. But it wouldn't be long before he takes over the throne :P

I've only had my SPV C550 for a few months now but its slowly edged out my IPAQ 2210 for personal use.
I obtained it to reduce the number of gadgets I had to carry around and I must say its certainly done that. I still use my IPAQ for business and have a seperate business mobile, which I unfortunately can't get rid of.
My smartphone keeps my personal life organised and helps me with the charity work I do in my spare time. It syncs perfectly with Outlook and the IPAQ meaning I only have to enter data once to get it on all 3 things.
I bought it over Symbian smartphones not for the o/s but for the form factor. The Symbian phones seem so chunky compared.
