But this class of programming interface is not available for the other Windows Mobile versions. Which means that developers will not be able to provide the same features in their applications across all the Windows Mobile versions. This is where Microsoft MVP Peter Foot comes to the rescue of the developers. :-) He has written the InTheHand.WindowsMobile classes which the developers can use for building their applications for the legacy version of Windows Mobile. The product comes in two editions. The Community Edition is a limited subset of the library and is free for evaluation and non-commercial/academic use. The Professional Edition which can be purchased for $49.99, contains the full functionality and license for distribution with commercial applications.
