Fun fact: the 'Q' stands for 'QWERTY', as in 'QWERTY keyboard'"</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050726-MotoQEngadget.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Looking for some real life action shots of the newly announced Motorola Q, Engadget has some. Unfortunately they don't have any pictures comparing it against another phone. But they do have some pictures of the black version. :)

That thing looks GREAT - but I wonder about the size. I really like that I can fit the C500 in the front pocket of my jeans, this thing looks too wide. :?

I'd like to know a bit more about the insides. Memory for example.

I'd like to put this head-to-head with the moboDA 3360. (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=40497) When you consider which has the keyboard and which has the number pad, it makes you wonder whether it's the Moto that should be the PPCPE and the 3360 that should be the Smartphone. Size-wise, they look very similar. :|

I'd also like to know how much of this is based on the MPX2200. In other words does it have the same code base or is it a complete new handset designed from the ground up including sofware. If it is based on the MPX series in anyway I'm staying clear!
Mobileburn has some comparison photos with the V3 and a blackberry device

Looks like a nice device.

Phonescoop (http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/moto_2005_07/index.php?p=q) also has a nice size comparison shot to the existing V3 RAZR.
This device looks hot :shocked!: and with the upcoming 'push' email features on the new Exchange 2003 service pack 2 release it is going to be the next exec 'must have'.

I want this thing so bad! The day that this thing is available (or perhaps even a few days before?? ;) ) I'm going to own one. It will replace my MPx220. I can not live without a Smartphone!!!!!!

What am I going to do with you people? Have you learned nothing from the Mpx220 experience? I will have to set the example here. I will be the strong one. I will not have one of these till I know its not another Moto disaster.
I can do it.
I can

I expect that Jerry will be the first person on staff here to have one. That is, of course, if he beats me to the store. ;)

Was watching CNBC interview of Ed Zanders. And he mentioned that Moto Q will be launching hopefully by the end of this year. :) Keeping fingers crossed.

Really? I thought the press release said Q1 2006. :? I don't know of many companies that actually ship a product early. I hope he's right, but I'm not going to hold my breath. :)
