http://www.silicon-i.biz/i800.html

Our friend Gears over at CoolSmartPhone.com is running a story about a recently announced i800 Smartphone by a Belgium based company called Silicon-i. The Smartphone is running on Windows Mobile 2003 SE and it specs are the same as the Orange SPV C500 and the Audiovox SMT5600. I am sure everyone will agree with our friend Gears' comment that this Smartphone must ship quickly if it wants to garner a market share.

The styling of this Smartphone reminds me of the ill-fated Motorola MPx100. :? And I wonder if it is based on the MPx100 design or the newer Microsoft Peabody platform. What are your thoughts?

Oh! I haven't caught up with all the news that happened during the last two months, when I was underground. It definitely is an S747 variant.

Don't worry. I had almost forgot about it too, until the styling of the keypad got a few of my neural cogs moving again.

It's fantastic how there are now officially a million model numbers denoting the same device. :P

So is the S747 based on Microsoft Peabody, HTC or its own platform? :?

It doesn't appear to be based on the Peabody or a HTC designed device.

I think it's based on Chi Mei's design from Taiwan/China.
