Clearing memory? (Especially browser pics)

How do I clear up some space on my SMT5600? I noticed while browsing the photo album and setting the "folder" option to view the whole phone, I noticed a lot of pics from my web browsing. How do I get rid of those? I mean, are they in a special folder? If so that I know that when I delete them, I am not deleting something that came preloaded on the phone that I might need/want?

In internet explorer have you gone to menu/options/memory and tried to clear the cache?
