<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://beta.handango.com' target='_blank'>http://beta.handango.com</a><br /><br /></div>Handango has just launched a beta version of their new site. The new site seems a lot lighter on graphics and has an all around cleaner and brighter look to it. Unfortunately for Smartphone users, it still requires you to select your device from their list before you can browse a list of applications. Basically, this means a developer that forgets to list "i-mate SP3" as a compatible device, has effectively blocked people that select that phone as theirs from ever finding that application. It should matter if I have a SMT5600, i-mate SP3i, or MPx220. All Smartphones are created equal. If anything, they should just ask what OS you have on your device. They type of phone is irrelevant. The new site looks nice, but I'm still not going to be using it anytime soon.<br /><br />Take a look and let us know what you think of the new site.

Handango certainly has been doing some screwy things lately. This is just another prime example. I remember the pre-bluebackground days - those were nice...

Anyway, I won't be too interested in this until October, since I'm on a technology fast... My mpx 220 will remain with just eWallet installed.

I'm not impressed either. I wish they would work out a way to sort/search through previous purchases instead of having to page through them all!

Just eWallet?? Just because you're on a TechFast, doesn't mean you can't trick out your phone. ;) You just can't buy any software, right? So, you need to check out this post (http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8665) about how to encode and transfer videos to your phone without buying any software. It's all free!

Yea, eWallet was purchased last year for my i-mate SP2, then put into retirement before I picked up the 220. I do have a pretty large cache of Pocket PC Software though, and one of those titles is Pocket DVD Studio, which I usually use to encode videos. Cool post on how to do it free!

My current dilemma is deciding if a mini-SD card is technology or media. Media is exempt on the fast, however I can't quite figure out what a mini-SD card most properly falls under (And Darius is no help at PPCT).

Check out http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=41238&amp;postdays=0&amp;postorder=asc&amp;start=0 for the full details on my tech sabbatical, and ensuing mini-sd debate.

Clearly media. No function other than storing info/data, like cassete tapes, floppies, hard drives, blank CDs, etc.

At least for their smartphone section, it seems like they no longer ask you (the developer) to pick specific WM devices. Or am I getting Alzheimer's? :)

But the Pocket PC section still requires you to pick from a long list of compatible devices. In that case you can just select none (in which case it will show up in all) and then put a hyperlink to your list of compatible devices.
