View Full Version : How do you enter the backslash character '\' ?

I'm using a application that has a text field for input, and is expecting a file path, e.g. \Storage\windows\filename.

The question is, How do I enter backslashes? I tried holding down the '#' key for the extra odd symbols, but '\' is not in the list (but I'm so relieved Euro-quotes are there).

Do I need to install a character input program? Use a IR/BT keyboard?

It's there on mine. 4th row, second column in from the left. ;)

it depends on what rom you have installed on your smarptphone... you can either try holding "*" or "#"... if that dont work, you must hit a certain key a few times to get the symbols...

or, if you want to do it the hard way, you can install a copy/paste program (something like xbar by cetra) and copy existing slashes and paste them... or you can install a remote sync device that allows you to use your desktop/laptop to type in messages... hope this helps ^_^
