<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.phonethemes.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.phonethemes.com/</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Phonethemes are animated themes that restyle your entire mobile device! Phonethemes bundle together the background images, color schemes, theme animation and, depending on the theme a ringtone to add that "Wow!" factor to your mobile. Because they reskin the entire device you should set the 'Colour scheme' and 'Background image' settings to 'Default'. Windows Mobile phonethemes are also extremelly efficient and have a power-management utility ensuring minimal impact on the battery life of the phone. Installation is easy and using them is even more straight-forward"</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050629-PhoneThemesWaterWorld.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />I find these animations a little too distracting for my taste. However, if you are interested and want to try out an animated homescreen, PhoneThemes.com are giving away 4 animated themes for free: Cool Aquarium, XP Sky, Snow Mountain, and Pretty Girl. Just register on their site, and you can start downloading. If anyone does install these, please report back and let us know how you find them. :)

They need to go back to the drawing board. I have an SMT5600, downloaded the FREE themes without a problem, however the date and time are overalpping each other and the quick launch icons are not present as illustrated in the promo piece on their website. I tried different configurations and was able to get the quick launch icons to display but that disabled the animation effect (whats the point right?). :x

You are right about overlapping time and date. However, once I changed the time format to 24hr, it's fine. I am using Battery Pack Pro's program plug in without any problem and it looks great. But I am unable to configure (yet) how to add Oxios task plug in. I am sure its possible editing xml file but have not tried it yet.

You made no mention about the quick launch icons. Do they appear on the homescreen?

I would imagine it slows down the phone a little.
Does it?
