Need Help re. upgrade

Ok guys. Help a sister out. I keep seeing that the 1.43 upgrade is out then I see that it's not. I look for it and find links that don't work or were posted by some dude and I'm not sure I should trust it. I see Asian ROMs and all this stuff that is very confusing. I signed up for the cingular upgrade thingy but have never heard anything. I'm just a girl who likes her 220 but wants the sound thing fixed. I'm also a girl who is trying her best but is not totally sure about how all this will come down and don't want to miss anything. Please give me a little counseling and info about how this thing is happening. I like my 220, paid a chunk of change for it, and would like to keep it purring like a kitten if I can.

Motorola has gone and dug themselves a big hole. They have so much confusion floating around about ROM versions and problems that I'm getting a headache trying to figure it all out - and I don't even own a MPx220! ;)

There was a little discussion going on in this thread (http://www.thoughtsmedia.com/spt/forums/viewtopic.php?p=55504#55504) about the current ROM versions and links to Motorola's website. I hope that helps you out a little.

Motorola has the v1.43 update tool on their website - unfortunately it has been "Temporarily Unavailable" for the last week that I have been trying to update my MPX 220.

Anyone know of another source for the update tool for v1.43 or why the Motorola tool is not working????
