I have used iSilo for the past 3-4 years.

First on my Palm, then on my Pocket PC and finally on my Smartphone. It is really the best reader I have found till date. Plus, the format it converts files to is very good at compression and retains all document characteristics.
Try it, you won't be disappointed.

I am using the paid version, but I think they have a free version too. The free version, of course, has less features. But it is still very useable and has only superficial features removed (like colors, etc).

Actually, other than MS's own reader, there is no reader which reads .lit files as they are a proprietary format.

iSilo reads quite a lot of formats using iSiloX, its desktop converter. If you want to read .lit files, you will need to decompress them to html files with pictures first.
I saw a program for that somewhere on the net, can't remember where.

I believe programs like mobipocket let you read .lit files. But not those that have DRM. We'll need to wait for MS to get off of their butts and make a Smartphone version for that.

Tiny eBook Reader reads .lit book pretty well and it is available for smartphone and PPC.

Recently I heard that eReader (formerly palm reader, formerly peanut press) is comming for Smartphone.

eReader will definitely be the end al be all reader for the smartphone.

I've been trying Tiny eBook Reader trial version. It occasionally jumps back to the beginning of the book. Is this a trial version thing, or a bug? It looks to be a good app, although somewhat expensive, and I don't want to spend the money on buggy software. So far, Golden Crater hasn't responded to my queries.

Thanks for any help.

Seriously, can anybody tell me why Microsoft would not make a version for their own smartphone OS??? I just don't get it.

Where do have to send my protest email to??

:(

Thanks for any help.I wouldn't waste your money on Tiny. While it has promise, the developer is very slow to respond and has never fixed a handful of bugs that have been around 2+ years. :(

I use the ABC Lit Converter (do a google search) to convert ebooks to pdb-files and then read them with eReader. I don't know if it works with protected lits though.

Why hasn't Microsoft made a Microsoft Reader version for smartphones? We know reading books work, since eReader have figured out how to make it usable.

my guess - it's a resource issue within Microsoft.

Thank you for that! I had a lot of .lit files (unprotected).
Mobipocket or Ereader are both great, they'll do for me. :)
