When I bought my SMT5600 I synced it BEFORE I realized that it was set to eastern time intead of central. Well I changed my time zone but now all my appointments are 1 hour off. Is there an easy way to delete just the phone entrys and re-sync without a hard reset?

Have you adjusted for Daylight Savings? That might fix the 1 hour difference.

My desktpo is set to daylight savings time. I can't find a DST on my smartphone. Is there one?
I really believe it happened because the phone was set to another zone when initially synced. ANyone know of a way to delete ALL caledar entries on the phone without a hard reset???
ALSO, I just did a rebradning of an ATT pohone to Cingular. IF I do a hard reset after I backup using a backup program, will it restore my setttings (i.e. internet, email, etc.????)

Sorry, my mistake. I thought there was a setting, but it appears I was mistaken.

Not that I know of. You can try changing the settings in ActiveSync. Maybe set the future appointments to 0, and see if that will remove what's on the device.

I can't say for sure, but my guess would be yes. It will restore all that and the appointments you don't want too. :?

OK...problem solved. Turns out I didn't have DST check on my computer. When I corrected the problem it change appintment times FOWARD 1 hour in Outlook in all appointments entered after the first week in April. All other past appointment times were correct. Went through April and May and changed the times and re-synced. Seems the phone always thinks it's on DST whether the desktop is or not!!!

It sounds like the phone has no knowledge of the time other than what your (our) computer tells it.

Outlook has always had serious problems with time zones. If I make an appointment and then change times zones outlook just shifts the appointment whether I want it to or not.
