I saw these in the stores early last year. They didn't sell then and they aren' t gonna sell now. They are ugly and stoopid.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea. It's just the name and design that doesn't work. The adjustable strap for shoulder or waist is a great idea for women. It's the "thong" thing that I think will prevent this from being a big success.

The people making these cases are trying to capitalize on the Thong popularity (today thongs are popular in both men and women, both me and my housband use them).

But unfortunately thongs have nothing to do with phones, they are just giving their product a bad name. It would sell better if they called it the slim phone case or something like that.

Besides the case does not resemble a thong,

I'm with Ed, this is such a scary message, the pleasing half of the image just can't make up for the scary part.

And Mike, you're right - if it wasn't named a thong (i.e. Phone Grip or Phone Sling) it would do a lot better!

Well - did it cross your mind that is a little too much detailed information that we here would rather not hear about?

Actually, I found out some "thong" facts the hard way. Most of us down under see the thong as something you slip on the foot. Over there, a lot of you see the thong as... well, let's not go there. In a nutshell, I've got no real problems with the use of the word "thong" in a product name, but I'm sure 99% of you would beg to differ. ;)

Around here, you can find the odd reference to "flip-flops" being called thongs, but over the last couple years, it's meaning has been taken over by the underwear style.

My girlfriend just goes comando... No need for thongs unless they are on your feet.... This will die very shortly. Stupid product.

As for me, I'll keep that info private as I'm sure most of the board members will appreciate.

 Guys please have some respect and common sense.
you oviously don't like seeing men in thongs because you are men.

We women don't like seeing women in thongs (only lesbians do). But we LOVE seeing men in thongs. just as you love seeing women in them.

Men use thongs, and we love it. Why do you think male strippers use them? To attract women.

You don't have to like them but please respect women opinions. Smartphones are not just for men, there are some geek chicks like me that love smarphones and hot men in thongs. And anyway we women deserve to see skin too.

Peace,

Becky.

PS: If you want to know the orins of the word thong here is a nice link. You guys will find it curios how this clothing originated.

 Guys please have some respect and common sense. Nobody dissed your opinion, that the entrepreneurs were capitalizing on the 'thong craze'. Had you left 7 words off your post, there wouldn't have been the opening to poke fun. It's the revelation that you and your hubby wear the things that set it off.
you obviously don't like seeing men in thongs because you are men. And manly men we are too, ARR ARR ARR

We women don't like seeing women in thongs (only lesbians do). But we LOVE seeing men in thongs. just as you love seeing women in them. That a bit of a generalization isn't it? So women who find others attractive must be gay? And I don't think it is universal that men like women in butt floss.

Men use thongs, and we love it. Why do you think male strippers use them? To attract women.Could also be there is a difference between totally nekkid and not, legally.

Smartphones are not just for men, there are some geek chicks like me that love smarphones and hot men in thongs. But do you want to see your cell phone in one? What if it's a girl cell phone? Wouldn't that be a bit, uh, queer?

I don't think anyone meant any disrespect. It is a little more information than most people are willing to share.

I agree, we have a number of geek chicks hanging out here! And while I can't talk for their preference in men's underwear, I think I can safely say that they like hot men. What woman doesn't, right?! :)

IIRC, they were. However, "thong" appears to be the standard term used nowadays and it has been for so long that I've almost forgotten about the whole "flip-flop" phase.

I think this is the most amusing thread we've ever had on Smartphone Thoughts.

But, really, let's try to respect each other, even if the thought of somene in a thong makes us feel funny inside. 8O

WARNING these links conduct to drawings of ugly fat ridiculous monster like men. Anyone would say eww to these men. We like men in thongs but hot men, not like those in these site and definitely not like you .

Here is what we like:

http://www.donkihote.com/images7000000/32694.jpg A masculine well endowed and fit man!

Please stop this nonsense discussion. If you wan to know what woman think about thongs in men and how much we like them, just check the sales for men under wear in Amazon or go to a thong discussion board.

A good one is http://thongboard.aimoo.com u will se that we love men in thongs (and we are talking about hot men not the semi-nude monsters you put in your links).

Also stupid machist men like you scare women of this site.

PS: Just becase you are fat and unable to use a thong that does not mean women don't like them. What we don't like regardless of underwear are machist fat men.

Well, didn't mean to scare you off this site. I would suggest you develop a sense of humor to go with that indignation. Don't know why you automatically assume that I have some resemblance to those fellows. I wouldn't wear a thong because they look uncomfortable as heck. When I was growing up we called that a wedgie, and we didn't do it to ourselves. Well, except for gym class, and those were jock straps, but we wouldn't wear them all day. Actually I'm more of a tap pants and camisole kind of guy, and not a lot of guys can pull that off.

There are thong discussion groups? What ever would you discuss? I had no idea they had been elevated to the level of lifestyle. I always thought that they only existed because underwear manufacturers found they could make a lot of money just selling the seams... and the marketing guys sold it.

In any case, this will be my last post in this thread, which BTW, was about a silly name for what might actually be a useful product. Fell free to get in a last shot.

If your intention was humor, no problem then :-)

You should try a thong, they are incredibly confortable. I know they don't look conoftable but trust me on that. There are many forums dedicated to both men and women thongs. Many male athletes like pro wrestlers now use them for confort reasons (check out in the forums the list of thongwearing celebs).

This is my last post in this tread too.

Great! So let's all end on a happy note and say that this is a thong: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0007P9KAE.01-A3QXF272WQ86AH._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg

I'm a proud thong-wearer. Thank you. :P
