Application Blocks are code used to address the common challenges that developers face from one project to the next that can be plugged into .NET applications quickly and easily."

Before you head over to the OpenNETCF.org website to download the Application Blocks, read the story behind it. The mobile version of the Application Blocks provide the following building blocks - Data Access, Exception Management, Caching and Offline. Folks who are familiar with Microsoft patterns and practices initiative, will appreciate the availability of this release aimed at the mobile world. Now mobile application developers can write complex applications a little quicker and these blocks will help them structure their code properly. :-) Another thing I would like to add to this post, the Application Blocks are included in the Smart Device Framework v1.3 release.
