Saving $750 off a notebook of $1499 is a tasty 50% discount, which you won't see other notebook companies offering. I'm quite stunned at some of the awesome deals Dell offers people! If you want to use the above coupon, please click the link below, configure your notebook, and use the coupon. <br /><br /><a href="http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=E9EmfDpHZ*g&offerid=85078.10000369&type=3&subid=0">DELL Notebook Specials - Limited Time Offer!</a><img src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?id=E9EmfDpHZ*g&bids=85078.10000369&type=3&subid=0" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />This will be post all over the Web at 8 AM CST, and it's only good for 10,000 uses, so you can bet it will get used up fast. And if you order through the link, a small % of your order comes back to support this site. We both win. :D<br /><br /><br /><b>UPDATE:</b> It looks like the coupon only lasted 48 minutes, which is about what I expected. That's 10,000 laptops ordered in 48 minutes. Wow! 8O Guess it pays to get up early eh? ;)

That's pretty incredible. On the other hand, Dell laptops have too many problems for my liking. So that coupon doesn't do me much good anyway. 8)

Wow 48 minutes. 8O WOW!

Mike I agree with you, Dell does not appeal to me. IBM is my favorite laptop company. But with a $750 off. Hmm...I might consider. ;-)

For the $750 you save, think of the all the downtime you'll have. It's just not worth it.

I use IBM, Compaq/HP, then Toshiba. No Dell (laptops). I'm a little concerned with IBM selling off their computers. I don't yet know if my next one will be IBM or not.

Till this date I have not been able to figure out why Dell makes you enter the Asset ID Tag and says that it will pull up your system driver list, and ends up showing all the driver options for the model, instead of only those meant for your system hardware.

Also recently two of my friends got the Dell Optiplex super slim/small profile desktop. Post purchase, one wanted a modem card and the other wanted the dual VGA card. They both state the Asset ID tag, confirm the model and then request for a suitable part. Guess what they get, they got full height PCI cards. Their systems could only take half height PCI cards.
