Still pretty much a beta I think. It tells me that the nearest pizza place is in a town that I cannot drive directly to. However it is closest as the crow flies. Hmmm, maybe Google is smarter than I thought and know my preference for transportation is a horse :lol:

Anyway the best use seems to be for locations that you are not familar with and in this case would be pretty misleading. By changing the zip code to the nearest town I got better and more accurate results.

I wonder if you can see the locations on the satellite image in the mobile version? :?

Didn't work for me - I was informed by browser was not supported - although I only tired over wap and not http.

How do I get to the satellite???

Using your regular browser..

http://local.google.com

Search for something, it shows you the map and below the map [bottom- right] are two small links for map and satellite.

Also..

http://maps.google.com

Search for an address and when the map shows up, the top right corner has links for map and satellite. :-)
