So I finally got my sp3i, and after a few days of use I must say that, in general, I like the platform (although I'm a little concerned about the joystick but that's a different issue). But a few questions have arised, and because more questions will probably crop up, I plan to make this thread into a personal "sticky" where I'll be posting them as they surface. So here we go.

1) I would like to see more appointments displayed on my home screen: is it possible to configure this somehow, or is there any 3rd party app for this?
The icons of the five last used apps are ridiculously large, and there's usually a row at the bottom of the screen that's empty, so it definitely seems as if at least one more appointment could fit in there.

2) For the first time on any device I've had, I'm planning to install ALL my apps on my 512MB sd card. The question is: can all apps be installed and executed from there without any problems (including Betaplayer)?

3) Looking inside Taskmanager/System Info, it says
Storage memory: 1,46 MB
Program memory: 21,68 MB
Storage (FLASH): 27,98 MB

What are these different kinds of memory on the phone, and what is each used for (e.g. in what memory are apps stored and executed)? I have 24 MB of free FLASH memory: can it be used for storing apps without compromising performance? If so then I'll probably store my most used apps here, and the rest would go onto the card.

Thank you.

Hi, I'am an happy iMate SP3i owner (here in France it is branded as Qtek 8020) and to my knowledge it not possible to have more appointements displayed on home screen. It would be very useful and it lacks since my first Windows smartphones.2) For the first time on any device I've had, I'm planning to install ALL my apps on my 512MB sd card. Yes I've installed all my apps on my 512 mb mini sd card including Betaplayer and everything works fine and quickly.

How do you install an app onto the memory card instead of the phone? Does it ask you where you wish to install install it?

Yes it asks, but not at the same time than for an installation on a pocket PC. On a smartphone, you run your installation with Activesync the same way as you do with a pocket pc, from the PC, but the question does not come on a window on the PC, but on the phone at the end of the install process. (sorry for my english, I hope you understand  )

One last question: can the apps be installed in any folder on the card, or do they need to be located exactly in a certain folder?

And while I'm at it, thanks for your replies. :)

Your only choice during the install Phone or Storage Card. The rest is automatic. :)
