Hi,
<Newb here.
I just unlocked my smt 5600 using Florin's unlock for use on T-Mobile in the United States.
Is there a way to remove the MMode screen and icon? Is there a way to remove/change the "Cingular" that now appears on my main screen to T-mobile?
Thanks for your time.

Whew, this looks like a bit of work, but I will attack this slowly.
Would you suggest REGEDIT.NEW over SMARTIONE?
Thanks.

Smartoine, or any of the PC based reg editors. Do a search for "Windows Mobile Registry Editor" and you'll find a couple front page post on the different ones available.

I'm bidding on a smt5600 right now on Ebay that I intend to use on the T-mobile network. The phones are locked to ATT. What is Florin's Unlock? The most reasonable unlocking service I've been able to find after doing many searches is http://www.c500-unlock.com/, is there a free unlocking utility available for this phone, so that I will be able to use it with T-Mobile?

There is no free unlocking service. http://www.c500-unlock.com/ does a great job and it's well worth the money. :)
