Virtual storage vendor Xdrive Monday said it has extended its service to mobile devices such as smartphones and PDAs. The service has long provided off-site storage for desktop users. However, the company says that users of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-enabled mobile devices can now access data stored on its system. That means mobile device users can access business documents or multimedia files wherever they are."</i><br /><br />This sounds like an interesting idea. I'm not sure how easy it will be to connect and use a file located on Xdrive from your phone, but it's a logical extension of their existing service. Does anyone here use Xdrive? I did for a short time years ago, ultimately I found a USB thumb-drive to be a better solution, and that's what I'm using with my phone. Even though I have to turn it off and remove the battery to access the storage card. :(
