MPX220- Email port settings?

I would like to set up an email account on my mpx220 that can access my Gmail account via pop and smtp. Gmail's pop and smtp does not use standard ports. Is there a way I can change the port settings on the phone to access Gmail? I did not see any settings for ports which makes me believe that you can only use the standard port 25 and 110 for smtp and pop access. Does anyone know how to change this or if it can be done?

Gmail uses standard ports. It's the standard SSL ports. Just make sure you turn on SSL connection for this server when you're setting up your account. Make sure it's set for both the POP and SMTP servers. That's all you should have to do.

That is right. Turning on SSL automatically changes the ports.
