I`m currently in Montreal and I need a new smartphone like the C500 from orange. Can I find a windows-based smartphone here ? I come back to France soon so it must be unlocked. There are some places where I can buy a gsm phone without pre-praid plan ?

Not sure about Montreal, but you can get them online. Try Expansys (they have a Canadian site), or ebay. You can get the Audiovox SMT5600, or go for the i-mate SP3/SP3i. The i-mate's would be unlocked from the start.

Il y a au centre-ville de Montréal la chaîne Teleplus qui offre des cellulaires GSM déverrouillés. Voir lien. Par contre, je ne suis pas sûr s'ils offrent des mobiles sous Windows.
