I'm looking for a 5600, trying to find the best way to get it now.

I've waited for cingular to release it, and still hearing 'soon' on it, but am getting tired of waiting.

If I wanted one right now, where's the best place to buy one? Ebay?

I've also considered the imate sp3i, but that's quite a price difference. Anyone know of a place that has it cheaper than $459 at expansys?

Suggestions would be appreciated.

What's wrong with Amazon?? You can get the 5600 from them (link on the home page). :)

Amazon's no service price is $349... ebay seems to be running $200-250. Since I'm going to use it on cingular, I'd prefer not to sign up for ATT service just to get this phone.

Fair enough,

Do keep in mind, that you might have to pay for unlocking, and only purchase the phone from someone with good feedback.

That's one thing that makes the sp3i from expansys seem appealing... It wouldn't be locked.

Plus according to the address on expansys' web site, they are not too far from here... if they offer local pickup, that'd be another plus.

That will cost you more than the $350 from Amazon. Last time I checked it was $450+

Yes, but the $350+S&H+Unlocking from amazon vs the $459, already unlocked, isn't as big of a difference... and if it is available for local pickup, that gets it now and w/o s&h costs.

Just a thought. I'd rather not spend that much, but am looking for options.

Also, my understanding is that the sp3i is a bit smaller and a different control method than the audiovox, yes?
