Will this work with the Audiovox SMT5600's charging voltage? Has anyone tried this VersaCharger?

Wall Voltage Input: 100V to 240VAC (variable)
Car Voltage Input: 12V to 24V (variable)
Voltage Output: 5.0V ± 0.25V

Well, the standard charger is 5v output i believe, so it should work perfectly fine.

I know there was a problem with this when it was released. But I don't know about it now. There was a post around here someplace about it...

Mike is right. All HTC Typhoon based products require special charger or wiring. Not all USB chargers and sync cable can charge the C500/SMT5600/SP3/SP3i/SDA/etc/etc.

So unless some reader or the BoxWave can confirm that this charger/sync cable combo will work, only then buy it.

Here is the post (http://smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6747) Mike is talking about. SmartphoneThoughts reader jfreiman has posted a letter from BoxWave that acknowledges the problem.
