This question came up a couple weeks ago while Kris and I were hanging out in Niagara Falls. Kris kept pulling device after device out of his pockets. I think he had 3 devices with him, and more at home. After I checked out his SP3i and commented that it might have to be my next phone, my wife brought it to our attention that we already have a phone. More than one, in fact. So, how many Windows Mobile for Smartphone devices do you own? I'm not asking how many you have owned over time, but how many you currently own, how many are in your possesion now.

Hey, I had only two Smartphones in my pocket. ;-) And one Pocket PC in my car.

Here is my Smartphone list.
- Compal Red-E Developer Kit Phone
- Motorola MPx200
- Motorola MPx220
- i-mate SP3i

I have a total of four. All are working. And I power them up once in a while. And use them as backups, testing etc... None of these is a really good excuse, but I think I might hang on to them just for the sake of memories. Good ones and bad.

Man, you guys are nuts. :razzing: I have one, and just one. Having multiple carriers costs $$$...

p.s. Why did you mix 0 and 1? That's going to create a predominant default option, right? ;)

Oh...I have service for only one. ;-) I keep moving the SIM card around. The joys of having GSM service.

Erm... Ya. Good point. I figure most people would have 1 or none. I'm really interested in how many people have multiple Smartphones. Then we can start an addiction research group.

Ok, but how many Pocket PC's do you own? I would expect you have 3 or 4, while I only have... erm.. 3. Okay, that comparison doesn't work.

Still got the Red-E in my drawer, though i can't get the battery to charge. AC Power problem or something. It was my second one so I decided not to return it. Sticking to only one Smartphone right now...MPx220.

But you actually have 2. ;) You're as addicted as the rest of us.

Really... It seemed like a never ending display. ;) I guess you were only 1 device ahead of me, since I brought my ipaq and Smartphone.

Ah, but PPC's have been around for years, so they can tend to accumalte if you can't bear to eBay them. Collecting multiple MS Smartphones, though - that takes dedication.

I have only my lowly MPx-200. I haven't upgraded, as none of the newer phones have had enough features to push me beyond the various shortcomings of each device.

I'll admit, though, that I haven't likely been trying as hard to push the envelope as some have.

I fear I may be close to having my gadget kindom royalty status revoked.

In my efforts to have the benefits of a palm pilot and phone all in one, I bought an mpx200 early on. Loved the style, handling etc. but was disapointed with little things like, I don't know, HORRIBLE RECEPTION, dropped calls, web crawling, etc. So when the mpx220 hit, I jumped on it and gave my wife the old 200 dinasaur - so I guess we have two. The difference btw the two in every aspect is indescribable. Interestingly, she has Cingular and I have ATT (yes, we unlocked the 200) and she has few if any of my old problems.

Wow 5 Smartphones! 8) Just curious - how come MPx200 does not have a partner. MPx220 and SMT5600 are pairs. :?:
