Does the MPx220 come with a starter miniSD card? I am getting this phone to replace my T610.

Which miniSD card would you recommend for this phone? Would a generic one work ok?

The MPx220 does not come with a memory card, you have to purchase one. As for the brand to get, I've never had trouble with any memory card I've owned (which has been a whopping total of 2 of them), so I can't speak from experience there. I know some people have complained about Sandisk cards before, but others have had Sandisk cards work flawlessly for a long time, too.

I personally would be wary of a true "generic" brand memory card. I don't think they'd save you much money, and at least with a known brand you get things like a warranty to back it up.

I've got a couple no-name cards, and a bunch of brand name ones too. I've never had a problem with any of them. Just get something with a warrenty, and don't buy it from a store, buy it online. They are soo much cheaper online.

I got my 512 miniSD from eCost. Amazon has them now too.

My SanDisk MiniSD just died after 4 months. They are replacing it for me. In the mean time I got a PQI.

Let's hope it works for more than a few months. :x

I was looking at this one http://www.meritline.com/pqi-minisd-card-512mb.html. Can't decide between a 256mb or a 512mb card.
