with all the negative discourse im skeptical. i may hold off for the new blackberry 7100g cingular is releasing. is the new 1.3 firmware addressing most of the issues with this phone?

I had hopped that it did, I have only experienced one instance in the last month where the microphone did not activate when I flipped it. That was the major problem I had with the phone.

It is a great phone if you are looking for a flip phone based on Microsoft Windows Mobile. There are still a few stability related issues that can be fixed in the software. But version 1.30 is highly usable.

If you are looking for a smart phone or a Windows Mobile Smartphone and not looking at flip phones only, then Audiovox SMT5600 would be the better choice. ;-)

The latest ROM has really helped. It's still not 100%, but is anything ever 100% ? :wink:

As far as Windows Mobile Flip phones go, it's pretty good, now.

yeah i was wondering if cingular would get this phone(smt5600) or not.
