View Full Version : Problem - BT Activesync Requires Manual Connect

I have BT Activesync set up and working on my Audiovox SMT5600, except for one problem. Every time I bring my phone in BT range of the computer, I have to manually connect them by selecting "Connect via Bluetooth" under the phone's Activesync menu. When I do that, Activesync works normally. But shouldn't the BT Activesync connection occur automatically whenever the phone is in range? There must be a step I've left out. Thanks for your help.

Personally I think it is a good thing that the sync does not start the moment my phone comes within the BT range.
But here is something that might help.
One click BT ActiveSync (http://smartphonethoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7211)

Ironically on the flip side it won't disconnect unless you walk far enough away to get out of range or turn off BT. :?

I just opened it. Seems to be ok.

I meant the 404 I get is for the link to the site (http://www.mpx200.org/modules.php?o...rticle&sid=2714 ) AFTER you click on 'One click BT ActiveSync' (which is fine)

Ok I found it. I'm pretty sure this is the same solution. It's about half way down this thread (http://www.mpx200.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=5817&hl=bluetooth+activesync)

Ah... My guess is that the 404 is caused by the recent site conversion at MGN.

Any way to get to this site then?

Thanks. Does it work the same way on SMT5600 as it does for the Motorola?
