HP Smartphone?

Hi Everyone,

I see that HP is talking up a bunch of new mobile products. They are calling 2005 "the Year of Mobility".

Of note is the statement that they will release a smartphone by the end of 2005 aimed at the corporate market. The article that I read had no further details. Anyone know if this smartphone will be Windows based?

They will also release an IPAQ Mobile Messenger with Bluetooth and EDGE connectivity.

I do not have an iPaq, but this will be great news for all of you that have been having connectivity issues. Seems as though the upgrades will do quite a few peopel some good.

The smartphone that's being talked about here is actually a Pocket PC Phone Edition device. :( However, with any luck, HP might still bring a true Smartphone to the market this year.

So, are there any photos going around the rumor mill about this then? I'd be intrigued to see what kind of SmartPhone product HP would put out.

There are pictures of the Pocket PC Phone Edition device. The rumblings of a true Smartphone are nothing more - unfortunately.
