I'm new to bluetooth, does any body have both a MPX220 & SMT5600 and know which phone has the better or the most bluetooth features implemented? What bluetooth features did they leave out of the 5600?

I would lean towards SMT5600. It seems to have more stable BT.

I have SP3i (cousin of the SMT) and MPx220. MPx220's recent ROM version has made the BT stable. But even with the new version I have noticed it to crash mysteriously. :-(

I have not tried BT feature for feature on both. But I know that the MPx220 has problem connecting to GPS sensors. SMT5600 works without any problem.

I haven't had any real problems on my 5600. Other than the usual setup issues. Once everything was up and running it's been solid.

I have the MPX220 and have not had any problems with the BT crashing, though I only use it for my motorola BT headset.

I can only speak from my expierence, but you cannot voice dial from a BT headset paired to a MPX220. You have to open the phone and initiate the VoiceCommand software (push and hold the volume up). This works fine for me and the phone can be closed and put away once the call has been made. You can re-dial the last phone number without opening the phone.

From what I have read the SMT 5600 uses a 3rd party BT stack that is more flexible then the MPX220. You can make calls using voice dial through the headset without having to initiate the action through the handset.
