A touchscreen provides an all-purpose control surface for an intuitive user interface, and the modularity allows users to buy and carry only the functions they need. Using technologies available today, the Petfrog could reach production within 2 years."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20050128-PetFrogDesign.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Laptop Magazine has an interesting little article on where mobile design is heading. One of the items they look at is this PetFrog device, which appears to be a radically new approach to mobile device. Imagine swapping out different elements of your device. It could be a portable media center, mobile phone, and PC one day, and the next day it could be a PDA with karaoke and a mobile phone. The web page above also has a link to an interview with Hartmut Esslinger, co-CEO of Frog Design. So what do you think, is this a device that you would be interested in using?

I lost my frog. Who took my frog? His name is Hopkin green frog.

looks quiet novelty.

I'm not fond of the slide out screen, much less the slide out keyboard.

who knows maybe that's what motorola's going to do next after the mpx design =)

I am definitely sold!!!!

Sold on NOT buying anything remotely close to this.

Looks like a toy you would find fron the 80's modeled after some freakishly ugly telecommunicator from a bad sci-fi movie.

But thats just my opinion.

Doesn't seem practical even in its concept of having the utmost practicality!
Isn't that ironic?

Seems like I've seen this somewhere before......perhaps as much as a yr ago.(?)

And while I wouldn't go so far as to say I wouldn't use it, they'd definitely have to dump that burnt orange coloring before I'd consider it.
