That tells me that the majority of this loss would be from the AT&T side.

here is a bit of news I found out yesterday when talking with a Cingular rep...
ATT used to sell the SMT5600 - the Audiovox phone - well since then, Cingular has pulled all the ATT specific phones off the marketplace and placed them into a warehouse for replacements only. Apparently they are all ATT branded and cingular doesn;t want to sell ATT phones.

OK - I understand that but THAT SUCKS! :bad-words: That means the only phone avalible with a plan is the mpx220 (GSM type that is).

I just can't win -

Here was my chance (so I thought) to get a really hot smartphone OS on a VERY cool device for FREE - switching from T-mo to Cingular but alas - I need to wait even longer now as it is unclear if Cingular will carry and market the Audiovox device.

Anyone from Cingular out there? How about it?

It's been rumored that Cingular is working on releasing a 5600 that is Cingular branded. So they may have placed all the current 5600's in storage, but they would be crazy not to release the 5600 on their network. It's one of the hottest phones on the market today.
