I wonder what the developer gets out of all this? Sure they get a larger customer base, but does Handango actually pay them for each download?

I think almost all the free apps are from multi-app developers. So basically the developers are giving away their lowest priced app for free. And in return they get to advertise their other apps on the page. A unique form of advertising. Handango probably gets to gain more from this than the app developers.

That's a pretty good package to give away too. I have already and use them a lot.

Advertising? That's not going to cover the cost of supporting all these new users. These guys are going to see thousands of new customers, and my guess is they aren't getting a penny more.

oh well. Not a big deal, just wondering.
