<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3509.html' target='_blank'>http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3509.html</a><br /><br /></div>msmobiles.com is reporting that Sagem has released a ROM update for the MyS-7 Smartphone that will update your Windows Media Player to version 10. On the downside, there is still no word from Motorola, Orange, or i-mate as to when we can expect an updated ROM from them. You can download the Sagem ROM update <a href="http://www.planetsagem.com/modules/Downloads/files/msu/mise_a_jour_r43.zip">here,</a> and start enjoying WMP 10 on your Smartphone - just like all of us Audiovox owners. :D

I can predict that Motorola will never put one out. But i-mate. :? Wonder what is taking them so long. They already have it on the US edition SP3is. Waiting eagerly for them to put out the update for the older customers.

the more i read about the support offered for non-Motorola Smartphones the more envious i become. it must be nice to know that you can get the latest fixes/tweaks, etc. so that your phone doesn't become obesolete overnight (like Motorola phones). i hope those receiving the WMP 10 update enjoy their phones more!

motorola will probably have to hack it's own customized ROM to get WMP 10 to work... i'll be shocked if we (MPx220 users) get a ROM update with WMP 10. (sorry for the cynicism - i have very low expectations for Motorola after going through 6 MPx220's and corporate babble/denial of the phone's problems).

(how much is the i-mate SP3i going for these days??)

Somewhat off-topic, but I just read in someone else's post about "a noise that occurs every 10-13 seconds" when playing music with the Audiovox. Is this true for you/everyone? I'd love to get one of these and be able to play music but that sounds like it would dampen the experience somewhat.
