Qtek 8010 ROM Update Released

It looks like they have updated Java Manager, SIM Manager, there is a Bluetooth fix, and a patch for Windows Media Player. It's not clear if this will upgrade your player to version 10 or not. On the downside, the update is only for the Swedish version. :( <br /><br />This update is only for Swedish sold Qtek 8010 with software version 1.2.32.11. To check what version you have press Start>Settings>About, you find the information under Operator. If you try to update with another software version it could damage your Qtek 8010.<br /><br />If you qualify, then you can download a copy <a href="http://www.qtek.nu/files/RUUv1.00.Inst1.4.32.11_BrightpointTyp1_1.1.131.155_Ship.zip">here.</a> :D

On the downside, the update is only for the Swedish version. Sad

That is not quite true, Brightpoint (the retailer) also sells their phones in norway, so it can be used outside sweden (I just upgraded my phone and that went fine)

If it's anything like the recent ROM update for the Qtek8080 from the same site - then the upgrade should work fine in English (and other?)phones.

It worked fine in my UK Qtek 8080 and all instructions were in English.

What's the worst that can happen? Yes, well....there is that.
