I ordered it on 12/30/04 and it arrived on Monday (1/10). Unfortunately, I was out of town on business until friday so I couldn't use it until yesterday. Came from Hong Kong, cost was 29.99 + 2.95 shipping. Not bad on the price for shipping, but the jacket is a tad bit expensive, but worth it for the protection it offers. Now to the Pros/Cons, and yes, PICS!!!
PROS:
Fits perfectly, all holes are exposed
ALL corners are protected, so in the event of a drop, the smartphone will be protected.
CONS:
HUGE magnet for dust, everything likes to cling to it.
Rocker switch is harder to access, but still fairly able to use
No screen protection
And now, pics!

Nice! Mine just arrived on Friday, too. I'll be working on a review over the next couple days.
I did notice all the same Cons as you. Especially the dust, but it looks really cool. 8)

I solved the dust problem by washing with dishwashing liquid a few times (in cold water)
I use a JavoEdge screen protector: it fits great.
I am able to carry my SMT5600 in the original carry case eith the silicone jacket on.

I highly suggest washing it, and I do agree about the JavoEdge Screen protectors, they are really good.
You can read my full review of the Silicone Jacket over here (http://www.smartphoneThoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7381).

How does this affect tha ability to press the buttons? Does it make it harder to T9 type?
Thanks.

Not that I can tell. It does make it a little harder if you're a touch t9'er. but how many of us are touch t9'ers??

T9 and multi-tap are the different means for entering text on your phone. Moto uses something else - not T9. Multi-tap is pressing the key multiple times until you get the letter you desire. T9 is a predictive text method. You push the key only once regardless of the letter you desire. As you move through the word, the phone will try to predict the word your are typing.
You can change between text modes by pressing the * key over and over. The current text mode is displayed in the upper right corner.

When I saw this product I was really interested, but the dust issues kept me away. Sooooo, I went back to a product that I have used in the past and have had success with. The stuff is called "egrips", and they are rubberized (for lack of a better word) "stickers" that adhere to your phone. They are cut to fit your specific phone model, so if you also have an Motorola smartphone you should be able to get some as well.
I just got mine on Friday and they fit great! I think if you feel the silicone jacket is too much these should fit the bill.

I used them on my P900 and it really hellped with the grip. Since I put them on Friday, it has made handling the phone much easier. Before it always felt that it was going to slide out of my hand every time I took it out of the case.
I really love the look of the SMT 5600 and the black egrips fit perfect and are not intrusive to the look of the phone.
No, I don't work for them, but I have had a good experience with this stuff, so I wanted to share.
Oh, they are only 10 dollars U.S.

That's an interesting product. It's like a non-slip pad on your phone. I might have to drop a couple bucks to check these out....

You can find the generic ones at Radio Shack, if you want to take a look at them in person.

Off topic, but I'm wondering about how you rotate thru the various entry methods. On my Samsung i600 you have to press and hold the * key to move between entry methods. I played with a SMT5600 recently and much preferred it's method.
So, is this something specific to the SMT5600 or is it a SE change?
TIA,
Al
