When my phone rings and I am near any speaker (PC speakers, speakerphones, etc.) there is a LOUD feedback sound that comes out of the speaker. It is actually ridiculous. I find it funny that no one has posted anything concerning this. Everything else on the phone works great. Please let me know if anyone else sees this with their phones.
Thx.

i have noticed it too....but not any/all speakers all the time......as a matter of fact it is not even the same speaker all the time....it seems like the phone "leaks" some times but not others.....

I believe this is related to GSM from what I have read before. Its just normal.

I'd have to agree with PPCMD. I had a SE T616 using it in a dorm-sized apartment. If I wasn't careful I'd get a loud, buzzing feedback from my stereo.

Maybe it's the difference between a shielded speaker and a non-shielded one?

This is realy normal, the phones put out 3/10ths of a watt of power at 800 or 1900 MHZ, and for all it's shortcomings (assuming you are posting about an MPX220) this unit has excelent RF properties, that UGLY antenna bulge is extremely functional and works better for GO than for Show. I used to have a NEXTEL phone that would light up the speakers in my car, makes you wonder if those silly Swiss scientists are on to something with the Brain Cancer Studies. 8O

Thnks for all of the great responses. I have an MPx220.
I have been with Verizon (CDMA) for 5 years and I never had this happen. It makes sense that it is a GSM thing, and I feel better that I am not the only one seeing this.

i have a tower speaker 3 feet from me and i've never experienced this problem...in my case, it could be due to shielded speaker.

I have an MPx220 and had a v400 before, and they both do it. Both are Quad Band GSM phone, so maybe that is why...

My MPx220 does this but my v710 does not.
