Hi,
I have an orange spv c500 smartphone and I want to use my smartphone as an mp3 streaming device. I have IIS setup, and can directory browse my mp3s using IE on the smartphone, however, when I click on the file it wants to download the file (which makes sense), and does not start media player to stream.
If I use Windows Media Player (9) on the phone, and select Open URL, and type in the address of the mp3 file (happens to be http:\\192.168.0.10\test.mp3) it cannot find the file. I have active sync setup and can browse the file from IE on the mobile.
The question really is, does WMP 9 on the mobile support mp3 streaming? If so, how do you setup a home configuration, so you can browse your mp3s and stream them to your phone?
Thanks for your help,
Jim

I have no clue... but, check out this article. Jason Sheehan has setup some streaming video. Maybe there's something in his setup that will help you.
