It is designed exclusively and precisely so that your device really fits in and it does not spoil the user-friendly button controls and the visibility of the display."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20041230-MartianFieldSilicone.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />This looks very interesting. I wish there was a better picture so I could see how well this hugs the phone. I'm always interested in new ways to protect my devices, and since I haven't seen an attractive/functional case for the Audiovox, this looks like a good option. Has anyone used these silicone sleeves before?

Almost makes me want to buy one. Too bad it doesn't have one of those belt clips. I have the leather case made by Krusell at Executivepda.com. It works okay. Although the fit on this new one you bring up seems to be better.

I used one on a SonyEriccson p800 and it worked well for me. It protected it from falls, was easy to slip on and off and did not detract from the styling of the phone at all.

On the other hand, I heard some say that it feels squishy and may seem to cause an echo (from covering the mic and/or earpiece) on both ends of the line. Note that there are holes cut out for the mic and earpiece but the silicone can slide around a bit and cover one or both.

Here's a thread at Howard Forums where 3vw modified a Martin Fields Silicone sleeve for a belt clip:

Its a cool idea but 29.00 is way too much for a piece of plastic. Maybe $10.00 at most. I dont get the pricing these days on Pocket PC and Smartphone accessories. It didnt used to be like this.

I don't know about you guys, but personally, I like the belt clip that came with the phone. I also enjoy the feel of the phone with no case on it.

But, like everything else in life, to each his own.

I like the idea of the cover for the phone, I just wish they had taken pictures/photos of the "black" model with the jacket on it instead of the silver one.

Same here. :-) Only protection I have "on the phone" is the screen protector.

BTW: Does this cover protect the screen also? Can't tell from the photos.

Reminds me of a silicon ipod jacket. I love them... if it fits well I think its a great idea for a phone.

The one I had for the p800 did not cover the screen
1. because the p800 had a touch screen
2. because the silicon is not transparent so it would obscure the screen.

I really like the supplied case as well. I never thought I would use one like it but its much less conspicous.

I have an i-mate SP3. Where can I buy one of these Silicane Jacket covers. My i-mate didn't come with any case and the one shown looks just like what i need.

I have a screen cover but find that it peels away at the corners.

I would start by trying the link at the start of this thread.
