<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.opera.com/download/mobile/?man=Windows+Mobile' target='_blank'>http://www.opera.com/download/mobile/?man=Windows+Mobile</a><br /><br /></div><i>"A couple of weeks ago, Norwegian browser developer Opera Software released the first, pretty limited, technical preview of Opera browser for Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003. Today Opera today released the second technical preview of its Opera browser for Windows Mobile. Smartphone 2003 users can now enjoy the benefits of a faster and better Internet experience from their mobile phones. This development supports operators' need for choice in OS distribution, meeting their customers' demands for an exceptional full Web browser on their mobile phones."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/smp_opera1.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/><br /><br />I've been playing with this for a couple hours now and I really like it. Using the short cuts takes some getting used to but I think this is a real alternative to what comes with Smartphones.

Just in time too. The previous "Technical Preview" was just about to expire. 8)
I wonder what Opera is planning on charging for this? I really like it, but I don't think that I would pay very much for it, like $10 or less. :?

I'd like to see if Mozilla comes up with something now too.

i have found when i force to close opera using task manager in sp3i, i cant open it again.. just need to turn off / turn on the mobile device ... :?
I am not confortable to navigate into the web page, using left right, instead of the pie up and down
but the rendering is really great :) :) :) :) :)

Why? I find myself enjoying the surfing experience on my Smartphone so much more with Opera that I'd be willing to put even something like $30 on the table for this product. It's that good. I don't even use my Pocket PC for surfing anymore, as Opera on the Smartphone is better than even PIE on a 480x640 Pocket PC. 8O
Cesar: why aren't you quitting Opera using its regular menu option? Also, you'll find yourself getting used to left/right very quickly. :)

Anybody know if there is an easy way to import bookmarks?

Judging by that screenshot, you've not got a helluva lot of memory left. Is that Opera that's taking the lion's share (I ask because Opera does take quite a bit of memory on other platforms)?

I installed it on the SD card. It doesn't seem to take up too much space in main memory as far as I can tell. That front page junk you can delete and just put whatever you like there I would think.

I agree Opera is good, but I don't think I could justify $30 for a web browser. PIE has been "good enough" until now, so why would I dish out $30 for another browser? Maybe... I don't think so, but we'll have to wait and see.

Well, I'm running it on SP2003 (not SE), and I found it so far from good enough personally.... more like useless. ;) Maybe we visit different sites.

I find that it renders graphics much better than IE. And for me, being able to have multiple browsing windows open at once is just great. But, there are diff that I must get used to. Overall I like it a lot.

The Opera accelerator is pretty neat and does cut down on the old GPRS bytes winging their way in and out of a gentleman's device.

Ah, possible. The Samsung i600 has a fantastic 4-way dpad so I wouldn't even notice. :P

Anyone having issues with Opera? I have used it since it's release and it has worked well, much faster than PIE. Anyway, I used it today and got a "can't open opera.dll" error and nothing fixes it. (soft reboots, eyc...) I know I can reinstall it but looking for other ideas so I don't have to redo my fav's. I have a MPX220. 1.3.
