Anticipation for the MPx220 has been great, given its improved specifications and use of Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Smartphone, which has a leg or three up on Smartphone 2002 which powered the MPx200. Despite its improvements, however, the MPx220 retains some of the flaws of its predecessor - so do the pros outweigh the cons?"</i><br /><br />Oh I don't know, anyone here have an opinion on this? Frankly I think they were generous with their evaluation.

the 220 is my first smart phone. Im coming from a se z600. So far so good. I don't agree with a lot of things that review has to say. I think the phone is really solid. The only thing I can say that sucks is the volume issue...hopefully Motorola will make the rom update available for download. But this phone is pretty solid!

I find it to be alot better than the i600. The volume has been a non issue for me since I have the FW1.3. Reviews are like alot of things everyone has one and none are full accurate.

i disagree with the review.

am i the only one who doesn't have problems with the volume?

am i the only one whos battery life doesn't seem to last nearly as long as advertised and most reviews say it does? 7-8 hours pass and i'm running on one bar of battery power

The camera sucks, otherwise the phone seems fine to me.

Look, I've gone through 3 versions of this phone. I like it too but there is no excuse for the way they let the first version out the door, period. Maybe I expect too much for my $500 I don't know. :x

I totally understand, no offense meant. Its not perfect, far from it, and upgrades seem to be difficult at best. I have only had mine a week.

I have issues with the audio quality, especially coming from the z600. But the quality isn’t terrible, just isn’t as loud as it should be. I just received my second phone from att and its still the old firmware….so I guess I’ll have to wait for moto to release a downloadable firmware update. If you take a look at the pics on the pc….you’ll see the pic quality is far better than most phones!
