Modify Start Screens?

Is there anyway to modify or replace the startup screens like the M Mode screen?

I saw instructions on how to do it on the MPX200....

Programs like Homescreen Designer allows you to place images of your choice in that location.

I want to modify the MMode boot screen by writting over the graphics...I tried to copy and paste the mModebootup.gif but the system wont let me. Anyway around this?

failing the advise given above, over at airfagev (http://www.airfagev.com) there is a tweaks UI that which allows you to change the screens and sounds amongst other things
