Has anyone got the SPV C500 and IPAQ HX4700 working together. I want to surf the internet on my large screen HX4700 when out of WiFi Range.

I know this should be possible but have the following problems.

I have defined a Bluetooth connection on the HX4700 using BT Manager and the devices appear to be successfully paired. Howver when I either attempt to "Explore Services" or "Connect to the Internet using Phone" I get a message saying "Device does not support this service".

I've also attempted to setup a connection using BTPhoneManager (after a Live Update). Again the Device appears to pair and I even get a Orange UK connection entryu added.

When I either use PhoneManager or the Icon up the top to connect i.e. get the Dialing box but nothing happens and eventually the connection times out saying there is an uknown reason for connection failure.

I am using Dial Number : *99#
and Dial String +CDGCONT=1,"IP","orangeinternet"

for Orange UK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Mike

Garforth, east of Leeds.

Enabled the serial port settings as you described. The phone bonded and service discovery was successful. I thought I was onto a winner, but...

A serial connection has been defined, not a dial-up connection, so the dialing will still not work.

I am going to hard reset both t5he phone and IPAQ and try again.
