Ringtone, Background Placement on an MPx220

Does anyone know where I should be placing my ringtones and background images for my MPx220?

The only place I can put them where they become selectable from the Settings menu is in the Windows directory for the device. There has to be a better place, or is there?

I also noticed something else. My ring tone is a MID file. I copy this to the Windows folder. If the device shutoff then back on the MID file disappears. Anyone have any ideas on this?
