Theme Changer allows you to change home screen themes, system screens, and windows media skins at the touch of a button. New in version 4 is sound support; it supports changing system event sounds (eg startup), loading them off a storage card, sound themes, and includes a sound script editor. As well as the usual bug fixes and tweeks. Also released was a Home screen pack and a sound theme pack."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Temporale-20041115-ThemeChangerV4.gif" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Riki's Theme Changer is a great tool, that fills the void left by Microsoft. There is no reason that it should be so complicated to customize your phone. Thanks to Riki's efforts, it's something that everyone can do. I'm downloading the new version right now. :D

I'm having a problem installing it on my MPx200. It appears to make it through the active sync portion of things but then the screen on the phone asks where I want to install it and I pick the storage card. Then it tries to complete the install but it just ends up saying that it's installing. I've let it go for about an hour but it never finished (I just thought I was being impatient! :D ). I've tried rebooting the phone and resintalling the app but I still get the same problems.

Got any ideas?

I tried it and it worked fine! I'm at a bit of a loss as to what can be going on with your phone.

does it work if you install to IPSM? I assume the installer can deal with out of space and write protected cards. What carrier are you using? does it leave any files in \Storage Card\Program Files\ThemeChanger ?

RJM_27,

Not that it helps any, but I have it installed on my storage card with no problems. :)

Riki,

I noticed that my current ringtone, a WMA file, is not found when I use the sounds option in Theme Changer. Just wondering if this is by design or not?

rjm_27: can you try this:
MPX test 1 (http://homepages.inspire.net.nz/~gambit/ThemeChanger4_0-mpx1.zip)

then this:
MPX test 2 (http://homepages.inspire.net.nz/~gambit/ThemeChanger4_0-mpx2.zip)

and tell me how you get on?

I didn't realize it, or care really, until I was passed my current ringtone and it was in WMA format. ;)

I'll install it today and let you know how it works out. Thanks.

I've been using this for a little while now, and there are a couple features I would love to see added.

1) Delete the highlighted theme. I installed a couple of your theme packs, and there are some that I don't care for. It would be helpful if you could delete the theme as you're browsing them in ThemeChanger.

2) Preview the highlighted theme. I find it awkward to apply the theme, and then have to relaunch the application to change it becuase it's not the one I thought it was.

These are just my suggestions. I really enjoy using Theme Changer. Keep up the good work Riki! :)
