How to Turn off Exchange in ActiveSync

I had a XDA that I was syncing with my Laptop. I removed Active Sync via Add/Remove Programs, then deleted the Active Sync Folder on Program Files. I then installed AS 3.7.1 for my new Smartphone. When Syncing it trys to sync with Exzchange server. I have turned off all the Server/Exchange settings in Active Sync adn cannot find anything else to get it to stop.

Any ideas? Thanks!

What about the settings on the phone itself?

On the SMT5600 under AS

-Mobile Schedule- all settings set to Manually
-PC Settings- Everything unchecked except Use USB connection
-Server Settings-in each heading, Inbox, Calendar, etc everything is unchecked.

no information ie, user name, server name etc remains in the connection page?

I finally just removed any and all files re: Active Sync and reinstalled. that was the only thing that worked.
