For those of you who have the 5600/C500, have any of you purchased a mini-sd card yet for the smartphone?

How do you access the mini sd card to put data on it? Via the cable or via a mini-sd card reader?

Where's the cheapest place to find a mini-sd card and an adaptor to use the mini-sd card in a standard SD Card slot?

Thanks!

I got my SanDisk 256MB thru Buy.com. It came with an adapter.

Transferring small files is okay. But once I had to transfer a 70MB video file and it took forever over BT ActiveSync. USB was only a shade better. Luckily my MPx220 allows me to pop the card out, and I used the adapter and SD card reader to transfer the file quickly.

And in a few days SanDisk will be releasing the 512MB card(, and the price for the 256MB may come down).

Sweet -t hanks for that info Kris - didn't know the San Disk 256 came with an adaptor. I have a built in SD reader in my laptop so this should work great.

I'll wait till the 512 gets released so the 256 will be cheaper - don't need that much memory..

I got a 512MB Mini-SD card from HTComputer and the service was very good and came quickly.

I leave my card in my phone and use the provided interface to transfer files across.

I've had several generations of iPaqs and the speed is faster than the first 2 generations I've had and maybe the same as my 4155 and that's fine for me.

Cards in that size are not yet available. 512 is the current max

Here are a few places I've seen people actually "see" 1GB mini-SD cards.

The third link actually has someone over seas offer to buy one and ship it to the US.

If the above prices quoted are true, I'll be upgrading my 512MB card this Spring. ;)

Update: I just found that the Mobile Review site (2nd URL on this post) has a rep from the manufacture mention that they are shipping to customers overseas!

I am waiting for him to respond. I will keep you posted.

Sorry if this sounds like a commercial, but I purchased my MiniSD from ZipZoomFly (http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=82412) $38. Great site, I've purchased several items from them.

Yesterday I ordered a 512mb mini-sd for $73. plus $5. shipping from Digi4All.com - It's a Transcend brand.

I'm waiting to get my Audiovox SMT-5600 I ordered on Wed. 11-24 - got it online through Wirefly.com - total cost after rebates will be $ .01...!! I ordered it with a new AT&T cellplan only. Salesman said that Jan. 05 we'll be able to switch over to a Cingular plan (looking for those rollover minutes). Same unlimited dataplan for $ 19.99/month with AT&T or Cingular.

I got the same one (w/ adapter). Pretty decent size for my needs (MP3s & test my "smart" apps). I've also bought many things from ZipZoomFly... Always been happy.

Ouch! £119.99 for a 1GB card seems pretty pricey. :(

Hello everyone, first time post ... long time lurker. I've just purchased two STM5600 phones, should have them by early next week.

Ecost currently has:

ATP mini sd 256 Mb 60x at $19.99 (A/R) (http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/shop/detail.asp?dpno=511346)
http://image1.cc-inc.com/prod/511000/511346_lg.jpg

ATP mini sd 512 Mb 60x at $61 (http://www.ecost.com/ecost/ecsplash/shop/detail.asp?dpno=511348)
http://image1.cc-inc.com/prod/511000/511348_lg.jpg

For now, I am placing an order for two 256 mb sticks. Can't go wrong at this price with free ground shipping +$5 handling, and 256 mb should tie us over until the 1G mini sd price drop in the next several months.

Just found this deal at Meritline.com - $49.00 for 512mb @ 66x, with SD card adapter to boot :way to go: . Glad I didn't order the ATP from ecost.

Ritek Ridata Hi-Speed 66X 512MB miniSD Card, with SD Card Adapter (http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/ritek-ridata-66x-minisd-card-512mb.html)
$49.00

The eCost one does come with a adapter - mine did. However that's a much better price! 8)
