The Delf-HA Trojan downloads a spam campaign from the internet and then sends it to random mobile phones numbers in Russia. The attack utilizes the mail-to-SMS feature most cell phone carriers provide."</i><br /><br />I guess it's time to get a Spam blocker for my cell phone. :(

This worries me a bit. Till now I was not concerned because Microsoft Smartphones have two tier model, that is the critical or routines that can be hijacked by a virus are protected. And the application had to be signed/certified to be able to use those. But now that we know of a way to disable it, there will be plenty of vulnerable Smartphones out there. Mine included.

Have to be careful about what I download and install. Luckily I don't try every single Smartphone app. :-)

ya, but Kris... This runs on your PC and sends spam to your phone. So the security level on your phone won't make much of a difference. Granted this is just the start, I'm sure we'll see more in-depth stuff in the coming year. :(

This is the first time I'm happy that my SMS number is not connected to as provider based email address...
